Cabaleiro Errante drama lessons are oriented towards training students in Commedia del’Arte specialty. This Italian theatrical style has its historical beginnings in the Renaissance. It is based on characters’ physique and composition through improvisation. This masked character style allows transversal work of all the basic interpretative tools in a playful way.
Group classes are offered.
Here is an example of the program content of a regular lesson:
Basic stage interpretation foundations
- Character study: construction and scenic characterization.
- Body development on stage.
- Voice: approaching stage expression.
Approach to performer’s dramaturgy
- Improvisation as a constructive tool.
- Conflict as the driving force of action.
- The relationship between characters as the development of the plot.
Discovery of multidisciplinary skills
- Within the theatrical reality, there are many small complementary skills that will be worked on transversally during the course. Among them you can find: fencing, acrobatics, juggling, music, etc.
